Thomas D. Skinner, CFRE, began his
career in non-profit management and fundraising twenty-five
years ago with Houghton College (Houghton, NY). He has served
as the chief development officer with two graduate theological
seminaries and a private university. A graduate of Houghton
(BA, 1980), he also earned the master of science degree in
student personnel administration from the State University
College of New York at Buffalo, NY (1985). Thom serves
regularly as a speaker, workshop leader, and faculty member for
a variety of organizations, including In Trust magazine
(serving non-profit boards and CEOs), the Middle Atlantic
Christian School Association, and Christian Stewardship
Association. He is an adjunct lecturer in the graduate school
of Philadelphia Biblical University in their master of science
in organizational leadership program.

He and his wife Margaret have been married for 30
years and have two sons, Nate (25 years) and Drew (22 years).
The Skinners are members of Calvary Church in Souderton, PA
where Thom has served as an elder and is involved in the music
ministry, playing trumpet regularly. Thom has earned the
designation CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive), the
credential recognized by leading philanthropic organizations
acknowledging tenure, achievement, education, knowledge, and
service.
